Intel Haswell shipping to OEMs

Everything ready for Computex 2013 unveiling

According to a report over at CNET.com, Intel's Haswell CPUs have already started to ship out its OEM partners. As reported earlier, Intel plans to have an official Haswell announcement at Computex 2013, scheduled to kick of in Taiwan on June 4th.


Although Intel has already started to ship out first batch of Haswell CPUs to its OEM partners, we will not see any official announcements before June. The motherboard makers are ready with socket LGA 1150 motherboards and those will be plagued by the USB 3.0 issue reported earlier.


According to earlier revealed lineup, Intel actually plans to launch a total of 14 different Haswell CPUs including the two unlocked Core i7-4770K and the Core i5-4670K CPUs. Eight of those planned CPUs will be a part of "low-power" lineup with TDP ranging from 35W to 65W, while six will be a part of "standard power" lineup with an 84W TDP.
