Philips reveals their 499P9H double-wide display

With 32:9 aspect ratio

A couple of days ago, Philips has unveiled a new ultra-wide and extra large display. The 499P9H is wider than any other ultrawide monitor thanks to its 49-inch panel. The monitor is based on a rather unusual 5120 x 1440 resolution and a 1800R curvature.

The Philips 499P9H comes with a huge 49-inch panel and quite an uncommon 32:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixel. Apart from that there is an 1800R curvature, which is supposed to allow for an even more immersive experience. The display itself if a DisplayHDR 400 certified VA panel, which by default offers a 60Hz refresh rate. Philips has also listed this monitor with Adaptive-Sync support, which is believed to deliver a VRR range of 48-70Hz.

Regarding the connectors, the Philips 499P9H comes one DisplayPort 1.4, a pair of HDMI 2.0b ports and a USB Type-C connector. The Type-C port supports Gigabit Ethernet and it can also charge an attached laptop. The display also has a pair of 3.5-mm jacks for audio input and output.
