Intel Core i9-9900K Coffee Lake tested

More benchmarks soon

Yesterday we can finally show some of our own results regarding the Core i9-9900K. A few months ago we have started testing all the recent CPUs regarding a variety of programs and benchmarks and meanwhile we’re starting to add Coffee Lake Refresh chips.

Our tests confirm what we've already seen with all the other leaks. At standard clock speeds and in the applications we've tested, the Core i9-9900K is on average 33% faster than the Core i7-6900K and 15% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. If we set all the CPUs to 4.2 GHz then the Core i9-9900K is on average 7% faster than the Core i7-6900K and still 17% better than the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. Overall the Core i9-9900K is slightly faster than the Core i7-6950X in both single-threaded and multi-threaded applications.

In single-threaded applications with same clock speed, like for instance in "Black Hole", we can see that the Core i9-9900K at 4.2GHz is about 22% faster than the Core i7-6900K and 27% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processors.

In addition we also ran a couple of benchmarks with our test sample pushed to 5.1 GHz at 1.26 volts on all cores. The benchmarks have been conducted on an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Gene motherboard with Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB DDR4-3600 C18 memory. In combination with a Corsair H150i PRO RGB 360 CPU cooler the CPU reached 86°C quite quickly running Cinebench R15 and scoring 2'148 points. During the next days we will test the Core i7-9700K as well and we will start with Intel Z390 motherboards as well.

If you want see some specific comparison or benchmark just let us know and we will give a shot!
