Intel Cooper Lake 14nm is coming next year

Ice Lake 10nm expect for 2020

Today Intel has finally revealed its new roadmap during the Data-Centric Innovation Summit in Santa Clara. According to the roadmap, we should see Cascade Lake during this year.

With Cascade Lake we should see already some interesting feature. For example Intel will integrate a new memory controller in order to support new Optane DIMMs. Furthermore we will see the first generation of Xeon processors with in-silicon Spectre and Meltdown fixes. Intel has also added support for DLBoost which is a new AVX-512 optimization for machine learning applications.

During the 2019 we should see Cooper Lake-SP processors which will be based on 14nm++ process. This generation of CPUs will be another iteration of the 14nm node. According to Navin Shenoy, the executive vice president and general manager of the Data Center Group at Intel, the Cooper Lake-SP platform will be compatible with Ice Lake 10nm processors as well that we can expect for 2020.
