During the weekend, AMD has announced four Ryzen processors aimed for mainstream and performance PCs. The lineup includes the Ryzen 7 2700X, Ryzen 7 2700, Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 5 2600. All the four CPUs will be available next April 19. During the next weeks, we will test them as well.
The new processors are the first refresh of Zen-based chips and they come with Zen+ microarchitecture with 12nm LP GlobalFoundries process. This process is a shrink of the 14nm LPP node used on the Summit Ridge processors. At the moment the lineup includes only two Ryzen 7 processors and two Ryzen 5 CPUs, however during the next months we expect to see Ryzen 3 models too.
