The STRIX X470-F Gaming and Prime Pro from ASUS are two AMD AM4 motherboards that come with a few interesting features. These two models are almost identical and according to the pictures the main difference should be about the audio section.
The ASUS STRIX X470-F Gaming and Prime Pro are based on an ATX form factor with four DIMM slots. The ASUS STRIX X470-F Gaming comes with a RGB backlight underneath the plastic cover and furthermore there are steel reinforcements on two full-sized PCIe slot. In general the layout is quite simple. In total there are three full-sized PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots and two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots.
In the storage department we find six SATA ports and all of them have been angled. Apart from that you get two M.2 slots allowing the installation of differently sized SSDs. While the first slot is placed right below the AMD socket, the second one is located close to the third PCIe slot. Like we mentioned before, the main difference between this two models is about the audio section. At the moment there isn't any further information, however the STRIX X470-F Gaming sports several more caps in that area.
In addition also the color scheme is rather different since this motherboards belong to a different series. If ASUS is going to offer this motherboards with a price similar to the previous generation, we might see the STRIX X470-F Gaming around 230 Euro, while the Prime Pro might cost 170 Euro.
