Phanteks announces a range of digital RGB products

LED, frames and hub

Phanteks has announced a new line of products in order to bring digital RGB lighting to any system. The product line includes fan frames, LED strips, controllers, and a starter kit. Since the RGB products are increasing, the companies need to find a solution for the right control systems.

Before we talk of upcoming Phanteks products, we have to spend few word on "digital RGB" products. Compared to the more traditional RGB, the digital RGB (addressable-RGB) allows LEDs to be controlled individually. With digital RGB, each LED on each device has its own unique color. The digital RGB might be an evolution of the traditional RGB lighting since doesn't require the 4-pin header. While ASUS and MSI sport the same connector, Gigabyte requires another header.

Phanteks hasn't launched its own header or lighting ecosystem, they have unveiled a series of products that are compatible with ASUS Aura Sync and MSI Mystic Light. With the digital RGB Controller Hub, the company unveils a three-port hub that can take input from the included pre-programmed controller or the digital RGB motherboard connector.

The company has unveiled two more devices that can be connected to the digital RGB Controller Hub. The first product is a digital RGB strip that can be daisy-chained. While the second one is the Halos Lux fan frame that is available for 120mm and 140mm fans.

At the moment there isn't more information on pricing and availability.
