A few days ago, we have published a news about an upcoming ASUS X470 motherboard. The picture was showing part of the layout of an alleged STRIX X470 motherboard. Last night, our friend over at Videocardz have posted another picture about the same motherboard.
Like the previous model the new one features a completely black color scheme with grey accents on the PCB. The motherboard has received some cosmetic changes but overall the design is rather similar. Furthermore the X470 motherboards appear to be very similar to the X370 models, however at the moment there aren't more pictures.
According to the image, it looks like this board is based on an ATX form-factor with your standard four DIMM slots. Despite the ROG STRIX series belonging - at least with X370 chipsets - to the mid-range series, we can already spot a few nice features that can usually be found on higher-end boards. There is for instance an I/O cover, two M.2 slots and three PCIe x16 slots.
If you are thinking about buying a new PC, which is based on AMD's X-series chipset, we suggest to wait a few weeks since by then AMD Ryzen 2000 will be out.
