Most of the gaming keyboards around sport membrane or mechanical key switches, however Roccat has created the first "membranical" gaming keyboard. According to the company, the Horde Aimo membranical offers the best aspects of both switch types.
Roccat says that its membranical keys are more accurate than other rubber dome keys on the market and way more silent than the mechanical keyboards. The Horde Aimo comes in a rather big size since there are several addiional buttons as well as a tuning wheel. On the left side of the keyboard there five macro buttons, while on the top there are several multimedia buttons.
The tuning wheel can be configured to provide intuitive control of illumination, brightness, volume and more. The wheel is also compatible with Windows 10 Dial functionality. The Horde Aimo's top deck has a laptop-style design that, according to Roccat, should keep dirt out. The keyboard comes also with an angular detachable wrist rest.
The keyboard belongs to the company's Aimo "RGB ecosystem," which also includes the Khan Aimo headset and the Kone Aimo mouse. The Roccat Horde Aimo is available on Geizhals for 90 Euro.
