ASUS removes bezels on multi-monitor setups

With a trick

During the CES 2018, ASUS has unveiled several upcoming products like laptops, monitors, mini-PCs and peripherals. In addition the company has unveiled their "bezel-free kit", which is an accessory that can obscure the black bezels on the edges of your monitors.

With the bezel-free kit, ASUS creates an optical illusion that uses light refraction to hide the black bezels. This is trick doesn't use active electronics of any kind. On the top and bottom of this bezel there is a thick black ends that fit onto the top and bottom of a monitor. In the middle of the bezel there is a strip of clear material that overlaps the edge of each monitor. The clear part creates a 130-degree angle with monitors and hide the black bezels.

The effect is far from being perfect since leaves the edges of each display a bit fuzzy. According to ASUS, this is just a concept but we might see the final products during next months on the market. ASUS doesn't pretend to removes the bezels, with the bezel-free kit they want offer a smoother image across all three monitors.
