Dell announced the S2718D monitor which features a 27-inch panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 108 PPI. Apart from that Dell states that the panel used covers 99% of the sRGB profile. Apart from that the new display supports HDR10. The display features a glossy panel with ultra-thin bezels.
The new Dell S2718D monitor will come with a 27-inch panel and 2560 x 1440 Pixel (QHD) resolution. It also supports USB Type-C which can even be used to display content and charge devices as big as notebooks. At the moment there are no details about the panel used by Dell, but we believe they are using an IPS panel since it is HDR10 capable, covers 99% of the sRGB color space and is suitable for professional use.
The design is definitely what is most interesting about this display, thanks to the very slim bezel. Usually a display’s hardware is placed right behind the panel, but Dell chose to put as much as possible into the stand, which allowed for making the display that thin. The new Dell S2718D will be available by the end of March with a price of 700 dollars.
