EVGA announces new SuperNOVA G3 PSU lineup

Shorter, fully modular and with 80Plus Gold

EVGA has announced its newest line of power supply units, the EVGA SuperNOVA G3 series, which will have a shorter design, offer fully modular connectivity and be 80 PLUS Gold certified.

Coming in a wide range of power outputs, including 550W, 650W, 750W, 850W and 1000W, the new EVGA SuperNOVA G3 PSU series has an improved 150mm long chassis but still offers the same level of performance as well as a full modular design.

It also comes with a new 130mm bottom-placed Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing fan that is both quieter and has an increased lifespan.

The entire lineup is 80 Plus Gold certified, which means it offer over 90% (115V) and 92% (220V) efficiency at typical loads, uses highest quality Japanese capacitors, include all the usual protections and is based on a single +12V rail design.

The warranty on the new EVGA SuperNova G3 PSU series is set at 7 years for 550W and 650W models and 10 years on 750W, 850W and 1000W models.

EVGA's new SuperNOVA G3 series is already on sale at EVGA's site, priced at US $169.99 for the 1000W model, US $149.99 for the 850W, US $129.99 for the 750W model, US $109.99 for the 650W and US $99.99 for the 550W model.
