AOC unveils new AG241 series WQHD monitors

AGON branded gaming series

AOC has unveiled two 24-inch gaming monitors that will be a part of its AG241 series and AGON brand and feature high-refresh rates and WQHD 2560x1440 resolution, the AOC AG241QG and the AOC AG241QX.

Both new monitors are based on the same 23.8-inch TN-film panel coming from AU Optronics and will be quite similar, except that the AG241QG has a 165Hz refresh rate and supports Nvidia G-Sync while the AG241QX peaks at 144Hz refresh rate and supports AMD's FreeSync technology.

As noted, both models are based on the same TN-panel and have 2560x1440 native resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response time, 170/160 viewing angles and support 8-bit color. Both also come with DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI and DVI inputs as well as a 4-port USB 3.0 hub and 3.5mm headphone jack and a hook to mount the headset on its aluminum stand.

According to early information, the AG241QG with G-Sync should launch soon with a price of around US $500, while the AG241QX could be around US $100 cheaper.
