Intel Core i5-7600K Kaby Lake detailed

Other chips and motherboards as well

A big leak during weekend has revealed a bit more information regarding some of the upcoming Intel Kaby Lake chips, including the Core i5-7600K, Core i5-7500T, Core i3-7300 and Pentium G4620, as well as confirms the upcoming ASUS and Gigabyte 200-series motherboards.

A leak coming from various sources during this weekend has showed a picture of the Core i5-7600K CPU, which will be compatible with both old 100-series chipset as well as new 200-series chipset motherboards.

As you know, there will be two K-series chips in the upcoming Intel 7th generation Core Kaby Lake desktop lineup, including the flagship Core i7-7700K and the Core i5-7600K. While the flagship CPU was already detailed, the leaked CPU-Z picture shows details of the Core i5-7600K, which could be the favorite of many buyers.

The Core i5-7600K is a quad-core chip without multi-threading support and has 6MB of L3 cache and a 91W TDP. It works at a 3.8GHz base clock with Turbo pushing it above 4GHz. Good thing to know is that this is not an ES chip which means that these are ready for retail in early 2017.

The leak also shows the Core i5-7500T Kaby Lake SKU, which is a T-series low power 35W TDP part. The Core i5-7500T works at 2.7GHz base clock and have 6MB of L3 cache.

The leak also include a screenshot of the Core i3-7300 CPU, which is a dual-core CPU with support for Hyper-Threading, have 4MB of L3 cache and a 51W TDP. What makes it interesting is the 4.0GHz base clock, which should make it a highest-clocked Core i3 from Intel so far.

The last is the Pentium G4620, which is also a dual-core SKU with Hyper-Threading support, 3.8GHz base clock, 3MB of L3 cache and 51W TDP.

The leak also included a list of upcoming ASUS, Gigabyte as well as ASRock 200-series motherboards that are confirmed so far and it appears there will be plenty of options to choose from, ranging from entry-level to high-end and gaming motherboards.
