Our very own MIFCOM Ocaholic overclocking team, with Naruto80 and Rule, did a nice overclocking session during weekend getting some pretty good overclocking results including a first place in GPUPI for CPU 1B - score benchmark.
Davide "Naruto80" Zilli from Italy was overclocking the Core i7-5820K CPU up to 6258MHz, which was enough for
the first place in GPUPI for CPU - 1B score benchmark, done in 2mins 55sec 423ms. Overclocking was done on a good Gigabyte X99-SOC Champion X99 motherboard.
Naruto80 also got
a 1779 cb score in Cinebench R15, which got him the third place on HWBOT.org ranking,
a good HWBOT Prime score of 8499.45 pps and
19.54 points in Cinebench R11.5.
During the overclocking session,
Franco "RULE" Valtulina was focused on Galaxy GOC 2016 qualifier event and was chasing down the best possible score with Zadak511 Shield ES memory and
managed to hit a good 3rd place in global memory clock ranking, pushing that kit up to 2568.8MHz.
He was running an Intel Core i3-6320 Skylake CPU, overclocked to 4,847.39MHz and ASRock's Z170M OC Formula Z170 motherboard, all powered by Seasonic's 1200W PSU.
You can check out some pictures from the overclocking event below and
here is a link to a nice little GIF showing that things do not always go as planned during an overclocking event.
