According to the latest information, both the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti and the GTX 1050 will be launching together on October 25th.
While there are still no new information regarding the price, other than previously rumored US $149 for the GTX 1050 Ti and US $119 for the GTX 1050, it appears that Nvidia has decided to launch both new Pascal GP107-based graphics cards on the same date, October 25th.
In case you missed some rumors earlier, both the GTX 1050 Ti and the GTX 1050 are based on the same GP107 GPU and have a 128-bit memory interface. The GTX 1050 Ti will be coming with a fully-enabled GP107 GPU with 768 CUDA cores, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs and pack 4GB of GDDR5 memory on a 128-bit memory interface. The GTX 1050 Ti ends up with a 75W TDP, meaning that it won't need additional PCIe power.
Earlier leaked 3DMark benchmark results show that the GTX 1050 Ti actually faster than some custom versions of the Radeon R9 380 and Geforce GTX 960 graphics cards and that it is actually quite an overclocker, especially custom versions which will come with an additional 6-pin PCIe power connector.
The Geforce GTX 1050 will end up with a slightly cut-down version of the GP107 GPU, packing 640 CUDA cores, 40 TMUs, 32 ROPs as well as 2GB of GDDR5 memory with the same 128-bit memory interface. While the GTX 1050 Ti will probably be marketed as a VR-ready graphics card, now that the Oculus Rift minimum requirement has been dropped to GTX 960, the GTX 1050 should be quite a killer in the entry-level market, providing decent performance for casual and MOBA gaming.
Hopefully we will hear more about these two new graphics cards from Nvidia as we draw closer to the launch date.
