Both MSI and EK Water Blocks have announced MSI's latest GTX 1080 graphics card which is made to celebrate MSI's 30th anniversary and will feature a custom AiO liquid cooler from EKWB, simply called the MSI GTX 1080 30th Anniversary.
Probably based on a custom PCB and featuring Nvidia's GP104-400 GPU, the new MSI GTX 1080 30th Anniversary graphics card is cooled by a version of the EK-XLC Predator 120 AiO liquid cooler designed and engineered specifically for this graphics card.
While we still do not know all the specifications regarding the actual PCB of the graphics card, we do know it will be clocked at 1721MHz for the GPU base clock and 1860MHz for the GPU Boost clock and still comes with 8GB of GDDR5X memory.
On the other hand,
EKWB was kind enough to provide plenty of details for the custom EK-XLC AiO liquid cooling system that will cool this new graphics card.
According to EKWB, the base of this full-cover block is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of POM Acetal material with MSI Dragon logo. It also features a stainless steel tiles and both the MSI and EKWB logos as well as the Terminal and the backplate are lit with an RGB LEDs.
While the block is pretty standard, the radiator is a bit different as the DDC Pump and the reservoir are mounted next to the radiator, leaving it with 177x133x68mm dimensions, which means that you will need a bit more room than for a standard 140mm radiator.
We already had a chance to see MSI's GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition graphics card at Gamescom 2016 show but although it is now officially announced, we still do not have any details regarding the price or the availability date but hopefully we will see it in retail/e-tail soon.
