LG announces two large UltraWide curved monitors

38-inch 3840x1600 and 34-inch 2560x1080

At the IFA 2016 show in Berlin, LG has unveiled two new large UltraWide curved gaming monitors, the 38-inch 38UC99 and the 34UC79G with 144HZ IPS curved panel.

Described as the largest UltraWide gaming monitor on the market, the 38UC99 features a curved UltraWide QHD+ 3840x1600 resolution IPS panel and covers a wide 99 percent of the sRGB color gamut.

Featuring USB Type-C port as well as built-in 10W Bluetooth compatible speakers makes the LG 38UC99 a the perfect workstation monitor for visual content creators, data crunchers and other multitasking professionals.

A more interesting is the 34-inch 34UC79G, a 21:9 aspect ratio gaming monitor with 144Hz 2560x1080 panel. Meant for gaming, it has a "fast refresh rate with one millisecond Motion Blur Reduction", whatever that means, as LG did not reveal official specifications.

It supports AMD FreeSync with frequency range of 50Hz to 144Hz via DisplayPort input as well as tilt and height adjustment.

While we still do not have precise details, these two new UltraWide monitors from LG certainly look impressive but we will wait for them to show up in retail as it all comes down to the asking price.
