Nvidia might not launch Geforce GTX 1060 3GB

Could come as GTX 1050 in December

According to the latest report, Nvidia has decided to cancel the 3GB version of the Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card which could launch as the GTX 1050 in December.

According to a fresh report from Tweaktown.com, Nvidia has decided against the launch of the Geforce GTX 1060 3GB version as it does not make sense for now. Apparently, same GPU and memory configuration could be launched as the Geforce GTX 1050 in Decemeber.

When we wrote about the GP106-300 based GTX 1060 3GB, which has 1152 CUDA cores, which is less than 1280 CUDA cores on the GP106-400 based Geforce GTX 1060 6GB, we were quite surprised that Nvidia did not decide to launch it as the GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 Ti but now it appears that Nvidia saw it the same way.

According to Tweaktown.com, the Geforce GTX 1050 announcement should happen soon and we are just a few days away from the official launch of the Geforce GTX 1060 with 6GB of RAM.
