Just a few hours before the official launch of the new Geforce GTX 1060, official slides have found their way online showing the price which will be starting at US $249.
The set of slides leaked by Videocardz.com, bring the final pieces of information for the Geforce GTX 1060 which we have been waiting for, the price and the availability date. According to the slides, the new Geforce GTX 1060 will have an MSRP of US $249.
Just as it was the case with the Geforce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards, the new Geforce GTX 1060 will also be available as a special limited Founders Edition, priced at US $299.
While it is still not clear if the US $249 is the price of the 3GB or 6GB version, with earlier rumored performance in mind, the GTX 1060 will still put a lot of pressure on AMD's Radeon RX 480, as it promises "the performance of GTX 980."
The new Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 will be officially available worldwide on July 19th and, as leaked earlier, packs 1280 CUDA cores and either 3GB or 6GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 192-bit memory interface. It has a 120W TDP and a 1506MHz GPU base and 1710MHz GPU Boost clocks. The memory should be clocked at 2000MHz (8GHz effective).
All we need now is for some official reviews so we can check out the actual game performance of the new Geforce GTX 1060.
