It appears that earlier rumors regarding AMD Radeon RX 480 launch are true as further reports suggest that retailers/e-tailers will have plenty of graphics card to sell when it officially launches on June 29th.
Many reviews sites have already published pictures of the Radeon RX 480 and these are sitting ready in their test labs, waiting for the NDA to be lifted on June 29th.
The newest rumors also suggest that AMD might also have its full range of new Radeon 400 series graphics cards, including RX 460, coming in 2GB and 4GB versions, RX 470, coming in 4GB and 8GB versions and the RX 480, also coming in 4GB and 8GB versions. While this might happen, it does sound pretty far fetched and we still believe that RX 480 will be the only one available from day one, while the rest will come later.
The same report also suggest that only reference design graphics cards will be available at launch which lines up with rumors we hear earlier from AMD AIB partners. Custom RX 480 graphics cards could be coming in mid-July, if all goes well.
AMD will certainly put a lot of pressure on Nvidia which is struggling to keep up with demand for GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 graphics cards and has recently cut the price of its GTX 980, GTX 980 Ti and GTX 970 graphics cards but AMD has an upper hand with lower price.
We are just a week away from the official NDA date so we will know for sure then.
