ASUS gets 40% of gaming monitor market last year

ROG Swift line doing good

According to the latest report, ASUS actually managed to gain a total of 40 percent of gaming monitor market in 2015.

According to a report from Digitimes, citing an unnamed source from the supply chain, worldwide monitor shipments reached 800,000 units last year and ASUS managed to get a total of 40 percent of that market in the US, Europe and Taiwan.

ASUS has been recently pushed hard when it comes to gaming monitors and its earlier released Republic of Gamers Swift series monitors got some rather good reviews, making them one of the more popular monitors in the gaming part of the market, especially the original ROG Swift monitor with 144Hz refresh rate and 1440p resolution which was launched back in 2014.

Currently ASUS also has the ROG Swift PG279Q, a 27-inch 2560x1440 IPS 165Hz monitor with G-Sync, the ROG Swift PG278Q, a 4K/UHD monitor with G-Sync as well as the ultra-wide 34-inch ROG Swift 100Hz monitor that should launch soon. Earlier rumor also suggested that ASUS is working on a cheaper ROG Swift monitor which should be quite interesting for budget gaming market.

In any case, ASUS is obviously making a hard push in the gaming monitor market and they are doing quite a good job at it.
