While OCZ's upcoming RevoDrive 400 was announced at CES 2016, we now have some of the first benchmarks showing that RevoDrive is capable of providing over 1.6GB/s of sequential write performance.

Benchmarked at CES 2016 by Tweaktown.com, the RevoDrive 400 is rumored to be based on OCZ/Toshiba proprietary controller paired up with 15nm MLC flash and while we already knew that this NVMe PCIe drive wil offer some impressive performance figures and now we have some of the first results.

While we only have sequential read and write performance for a RevoDrive 400 512GB version, to see performance of over 2.6GB/s for read and over 1.6GB/s for write is certainly impressive and it looks like Samsung's 950 Pro NVMe SSD will get some serious competition from OCZ.

Unfortunately, we still do not have any details regarding the price but the RevoDrive 400 is still scheduled to launch sometime in Q1 2016.
