Corsair has opened up its CES 2016 announcements with the new Carbide Series Spec-Alpha mid-tower ATX PC case aimed at professional gamers.
Based on an angular design and to be available in two color choices, black with silver accents and white with red accents, the new Carbide Spec-Alpha mid-tower PC case is certainly an eye-catcher, especially with its two front-mounted 120mm LED fans.
With no 5.25-inch drive cage, the Carbide Spec-Alpha has case has a clear path for airflow, something that Corsair is now calling a Direct Airflow Path. As far as support goes, it appears that Spec-Alpha will support pretty much any graphics card, due to the placement of the 3.5-inch drive cage as well as any PSU and taller CPU coolers. It also support 240mm radiator at the front and comes with three 120mm fans, two at the front and one at the back.
Corsair still did not reveal any official specifications so we do not know the precise dimensions of the Spec-Alpha or other specifications, but Corsair did not that it comes tool-free drive setup, front mounted USB 3.0 ports and a couple of 2.5-inch mounting places for SSDs.
The Corsair Carbide Series Spec-Alpha will be available in March with a suggested retail price of US $79.99.
