According to a few pictures that found their way online, it appears that Sapphire is working on a new Radeon R9 Fury graphics card which will have a completely custom design with a custom PCB with higher quality components and the same triple-fan cooler.

Spotted by PCGamesHardware.de site, the new custom Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury will be a part of Sapphire's Nitro series lineup and will be a successor of the Tri-X model which is already available on the market. The new Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury Nitro has a slightly longer PCB which should both feature high-quality components, a custom backplate and an additional DVI port on the back.

The clock settings on the Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury Nitro are slightly higher compared to the R9 Fury Tri-X model as it works at 1050MHz for the GPU and comes with 4GB of High Bandwidth Memory clocked at standard 500MHz and paired up with a 4096-bit memory interface. It still needs two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors and comes with standard three DisplayPort, one HDMI and an additional DVI port, which was not included in reference R9 Fury graphics cards.

There aren't many details regarding the PCB changes, but it is believed that Sapphire has included additional phases on the VRM and higher-quality capacitors, which should probably result in higher overclocking potential as well as both stability and reliability of the new R9 Fury Nitro.

The new custom Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury Nitro is expected to be available sometime in January next year, replace the Sapphire Radeon R9 Fury Tri-X on the market and have a similar €560 to €600 price tag. Since Sapphire is doing a custom version, it is safe to assume that AIB partners were given a green light so we can expect similar versions from other AIB partners as well.
