Acer unveils two new 34-inch ultra wide monitors

Giving professional more space

While gaming monitors with high refresh rate are definitely popular now, Acer has announced two new 34-inch ultra wide monitors aimed at professionals rather than gamers, the Acer B346C and the Acer B346CK.

Both new Acer monitors have the same 34-inch IPS panel that can cover 100 percent of sRGB color space with 6-axis adjustment, 178 degree viewing angles, have 6ms response time and 60Hz refresh rate as well as a high contrast ratio.

Both monitors also feature picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes as well as the same adjustable stand, with tilt, swivel and height adjustment.

While they share a lot of specifications, the Acer B346C and the B346CK are quite different. Although both have the same 34-inch size panel, the Acer B346CK has 3440x1440 resolution panel with 320 cd/m2 brightness and can reproduce 1.07 billion colors. The Acer B346C on the other hand has a lower 2460x1080 panel, lower 300 cd/m2 brightness and can reproduce 16.7 million colors.

Both monitors also share the same connectivity options, including a single DisplayPort, HDMI with MHL and USB 3.0 hubs.

According to their specifications, both have a different price tag as well since the Acer B346C is available for US $599 while the Acer B346CK is selling for US $799.
