According to the latest report, Apple is already working on the next-generation Watch device which is expected to come next year, sometime during the second quarter.
The new report comes from Barry Lam, chairman of the Quanta Computer, which assembles the Apple Watch, saying that the next-gen Apple Watch will be coming in Q2 2016. He also added that the new Watch 2 will come slightly later compared to the first Apple Watch.
According to the same report, the next-generation Apple Watch will have both better performance as well as a larger battery, mostly due to a thinner display. It also appears that Apple will be sticking to the same square design.
Apple has been doing well with the Apple Watch so it does not come as a surprise that the company is already working on the next version.
