Although we are already heard about them earlier, Intel has now officially released four new NUC mini-PCs based on its 6th generation Core Skylake processors.
According to a report from Fanlesstech.com, Intel has released a total of four different SKUs, or two main models, the NUC6i5Y, based on the Core i5-6260U CPU and the NUC6i3SYK, based on the Core i3-6100U CPU. Both these modesl will have a larger version which, in addition to the M.2 SSD, features a standard 2.5-inch HDD, the NUC6i5SYH and the NUC6i3SYH. The Core i5-based SKUs also pack Intel Iris 540 graphics chip while the Core i3 SKUs have to make due with Intel HD 520 graphics.
The rest of the specifications on both new Skylake-based NUC models are pretty much the same including HDMI 1.4b and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1, 7.1-channel audio, SDXC card reader and USB 3.0 ports.
Unfortunately, Intel did not reveal any details regarding the precise availability date or the price for the new NUCs, but we should hear more details soon.
