According to the latest information from Steam Hardware and Software survey, the Windows 10 OS is running on nearly third of all Steam-registered systems, showing that Microsoft's free upgrade plan actually works.
Reported by Winbeta.org site and according to
Steam's Hardware and Software October 2015 survey, Windows 10 OS is running on 27.64 percent on all Steam-registered systems.
While both Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 are still running on majority of Steam-registered systems with over 47 percent for the Windows 7 and over 20 percent for the Windows 8/8.1, only the Windows 10 adoption went up by 2.77 percent during the past month.
