Club3D has announced two new USB 3.0 docking stations that will be a part of its SenseVision lineup, the SenseVision USB 3.0 Ultra Smart Docking Station and the SenseVision USB 3.0 4K UHD Mini Docking Station.
Club3D's SenseVision products aim to expand the video outputs of any computer via either the DisplayPort or the USB 3.0 interface. The two new SenseVision docking station announced today are based on USB 3.0 interface.
Aimed to be used with notebooks and Ultrabooks but also support desktop PCs if needed, the new Club3D SenseVision USB 3.0 Ultra Smart Docking Station uses a "slim bar design" which can be also used to raise the notebook from the desk. Featuring two rubber bands, the Ultra Smart Docking Station will also secure both the notebook and the dock to the desk.
As noted, the Club3D SenseVision USB 3.0 Ultra Smart Docking Station uses a single USB 3.0 port and convert it to a wide choice of ports, including five USB 3.0 ports, audio jacks, RJ45 Ethernet, microSD card reader and three video outputs, DVI-D, D-Sub and HDMI. Only two video outputs can be used at the same time with a resolution of up to 2048x1152 at 60Hz.
The second docking station, the SenseVision USB 3.0 4K Mini Docking Station, features a more standard box design and uses the same USB 3.0 interface but offers much higher resolution outputs. It has four USB 3.0 port, Ethernet port, single audio port and DVI and HDMI video outputs. The resolution on the other hand supports up to 4K/UHD 3840x2160 at 30Hz over HDMI and up to 2048x1152 at 60Hz via DVI.
Club3D did not reveal any details regarding the price but these should show up on retail/e-tail shelves soon and might be a good way to get a bit more ports for your favorite notebook, Ultrabook, or a desktop PC.
