Lian Li announces new PC-18 mid-tower PC case

Based on an old-school design

Lian Li has announced its newest PC-18 mid-tower PC case that is based on an old-school design and look with PSU mounted at the top and focused on maximum airflow and cooling.

According to Lian Li, the interior of the PC-18 mid-tower PC case is arranged along the inner wall, leaving the center of the case open for the custom-built swing-out fan bracket with support for two 120/140mm fans and which can also hold up to 360mm long radiator.

As noted earlier, the Lian Li PC-18 PC case uses old-school design and look with PSU mounted at the rear top part of the case and front grill that features two 5.25-inch drive bays and twin 120mm fans.

Airflow and cooling are two major aspects of the new PC-18 case as it features two 120mm fans at the front which draw air through the primary front mesh screen grill. It also comes with a single 140mm fan at the top as well as the aforementioned side vent fans.

The rest of the features include a rather unusual combination of drives, including a 5.25-inch drive bay with support for two external 5.25-inch optical drives, reservoirs or fan controller, as well as a single drive bay with support for three 3.5-inch and one 2.5-inch drive. When this bay is removed, two drives can be mounted behind the motherboard tray.

The Lian Li PC-18 measures at 210x452x490mm and features support for up to 285mm long graphics cards (410mm when drive bay is removed), up to 160mm tall CPU coolers and up to 160mm long PSUs.

The Lian Li PC-18 PC case should be available soon with a price set at US $149.99.
