Earlier this week, Ubisoft posted a couple of teasers that showed an upcoming game set in prehistoric era and while certain media jumped the gun, Ubisoft has now officially announced the new Far Cry Primal.
Similar to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, the Far Cry Primal will be a spin-off in the series, which means it won't follow the story of the original series. Unlike Blood Dragon, which was set in future, Far Cry Primal is set in a prehistoric era and, according to the official reveal trailer and a couple of pictures, will include saber-tooth tigers, wooly mammoths, prehistoric weapons like spears and bows and more.
The official announcement also mention that you will have an ability to use fire as protection, craft tools and protect your tribe, which suggest that Far Cry Primal could be similar to recently popular open-world-survival games.
Same as Blood Dragon, Far Cry Primal will be sold as a stand-alone game and is coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4 on February 23rd while PC version will follow in March.
