According to a new rumor, Qualcomm could officially announce as well as detail the new Snapdragon 820 SoC on August 11th.
While Qualcomm already announced the Snapdragon 820 SoC back in March during MWC 2015, the company did not reveal much details regarding it. The only known details is that it is based on custom Kyro cores.
According to latest rumors, it should be based on a quad-core CPU part paired up with Adreno 530 GPU and should be made on Samsung's 14nm manufacturing process. The performance estimate is set at around 35 percent for the CPU part and around 40 percent improvement for the GPU with a 30 percent efficiency boost.
In any case, we will know for sure on August 11th if the rumor is true.
