AMD has fixed Fury X pump whine issue

By adjusting sound-baffling adhesive compound

It appears that AMD has finally fixed the pump whine issues its Radeon R9 Fury X graphics card had as the company has issued an official statement.

According to AMD's statement, published at Wccftech.com, AMD has received feedback that a "small number of Fury X cards" emit a sound from the high speed liquid cooling pump and has done certain adjustments to the sound-baffling adhesive compound that should significantly reduce the specific high pitch whine in the pump.

While there were reports that newer Radeon R9 Fury X do come with a different Cooler Master logo on the pump/block unit of the All-in-One liquid cooler, we still can't confirm that all retail version have that same one and it is possible that some users might still end up getting a non-updated version.

Currently, the only way to tell the difference is either to plug the card in or remove the front plate and check out the logo on the pump/block unit.
