While we already wrote that High Bandwidth Memory on AMD's Radeon Fury X will be locked for overclocking, it appears that GPU is pretty limited as well, at least according to these first reviews.
While we will talk about the Radeon Fury X review results in a separate article later, it appears that overclocking is far from impressive on the new AMD flagship graphics card.
Currently there is no way to increase either the GPU voltage or overclock the High Bandwidth Memory on the Radeon Fury X. In fact, the overclocking is so limited that you can only increase the maximum GPU clock and expected power target. The maximum GPU clock in first reviews can be raised anywhere from 1125MHz to 1150MHz depending on the sample, which is a maximum 10 percent increase.
For example,
Techpowerup.com managed to raise the clock up to 1150MHz, which is a 10 percent increase but it only translated to about 5 percent increase in performance.
Hopefully, we will see better support in popular tweak tools where it will be possible to raise GPU voltage and obtain better overclocking results but for now enthusiasts will not be happy.
