OCZ shows the new Trion 100 SSD at Computex

TLC NAND-based value SSD

OCZ came to Computex 2015 show with a full lineup of its SSD products including the new Trion 100 SSD, a TLC NAND-based value-oriented SSD.

Based on Toshiba's Alishan SSD controller and A19 TLC (Triple-Level Cell) NAND, the Trion 100 series will be offering superior balance of performance, reliability and value, according to OCZ Storage Solutions.

Based on a standard 2.5-inch form-factor and SATA 6Gbps interface, the Trion 100 will be available in 120, 240, 480 and 960GB capacities and offer up to 550MB/s sequential performance and up to 91,000 IOPS 4K random performance, according to preliminary performance ratings.

With the Trion 100 SSDs, OCZ Storage Solutions aims to create a competitive and affordable upgrade solution for any notebook or desktop PC.

Unfortunately, we still do not have precise details regarding the price, but OCZ did note that the Trion 100 will be backed by its 3-year Shield warranty and that it should be available during it this summer.
