FSP, a well known manufacturer of high quality power supply units has announced its newest Hydro G 80 PLUS Gold power supply series designed to maximize cooling efficiency and featuring fully modular design as well as changeable logos for DIY enthusiasts.

The new FSP Hydro G PSU series features 80 Plus Gold certification which offers over 88 percent efficiency at full load and is completely redesigned to maximize cooling efficiency by including a smart fan, internal component arrangement for increased airflo, enhanced heat dissipation and efficient energy conversion.

The FSP Hydro G series comes with a smart 135mm fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) fan that spins up only when PSU goes over 30 percent load while the inside of the Hydro G PSU series has been completely redesigned to allow for a better flow of air inside the PSU chassis and it comes with grade copper pipes connecting the motherboard and daughter-board. The PSU chassis of the Hydro G PSU series is also acting as a heatsink which should additionally provide further cooling for the PSU.

The Hydro G PSU series from FSP is also the first power supply to feature changeable logos, which should further appeal to DIY enthusiasts.

To be available in 650W, 750W and 850W versions, offering up to 70.83A on its single +12V rail, the Hydro G PSU series is also completely modular with new ribbon cables, which should further help with airflow inside the PC case.

Unfortunately, the price of the new Hydro G series has not been announced but FSP did note that it should be available in Q3 2015.
