Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti might launch by Computex

Available after the launch

According to the latest report, we might see Nvidia's GM200-based GTX 980 Ti as early as Computex 2015 and it should be available immediately after the announcement.

According to a report from KitGuru, the GM200-310 based GTX 980 Ti could be announced during Computex 2015 show, scheduled to kick off next month in Taipei. The report also suggest that Nvidia might already have it ready as we will not be looking at a paper launch but immediate availability after the announcement.

While the Geforce Titan X is powered by a fully enabled GM200-400 GPU, the GM200-310 GPU behind the GTX 980 Ti could be a cut down version with slightly less SMMs. While a fully enabled GM200 GPU does not make sense for Nvidia, as it will end up too close to the US $999 priced GTX Titan X, but then again, Nvidia might limit the GTX 980 Ti to 6GB of memory.

Nvidia is obviously waiting to see AMD's Radeon 300 series in action and as far as we know, GTX 980 Ti has been ready for quite some time, which is why the card should be available just after the announcement.

It practically all comes down to AMD's Fiji performance and if it is as good as we are hearing, Nvidia might delay the GTX 980 Ti in order to further tweak it.

Unfortunately, there are still no details regarding possible price or precise specifications for that matter but we guess we will hear a bit more as Computex 2015 show kicks off next month.
