While it appears that most motherboards on the market are plagued by the red on black color scheme, Gigabyte decided to think out of the box and launch the new Z97X-Game Plus motherboard with green on black color scheme.
Based on Intel's Z97 Express chipset, the new Gigabyte Z97 Game Plus could appeal to modders and users running on Nvidia graphics cards and will offer support for Intel's 4th generation Core Haswell and 5th generation Core Broadwell CPUs on LGA 1150 socket.
The new Gigabyte Z97 Game Plus motherboard comes with an 8-phase VRM powered by a single 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors, has four DDR3 DIMM slots, three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (x16/NC/NC or x8/x8/NC or x8/x4/x4), three PCI-Express 2.0 x1 and one legacy PCI slot, six SATA 6Gbps ports, SATA-Express slot, one M.2 slot as well as plenty of Gigabyte exclusive features including AMP-UP onboard audio, Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 3.0 port and dual-UEFI BIOS.
Gigabyte did not announce the precise availability date or the price but you can expect it to hit retail with a price of around US $150.
