LG rumored to be behind new Nexus smartphone

Codename N000

While Google is gearing up for its upcoming Google I/O 2015 event scheduled for May, a new set of rumors suggest that Google has approached LG for the new Nexus smartphone.

While there were some rumors that Huawei might be making a new Nexus smartphone, which still is not out of the question, the fresh rumor, coming from eToday, suggest that Google will once again team up with LG for new Nexus smartphone, currently codenamed N000.

While there were no details regarding the actual device, the report suggest that Google's Android engineers paid a visit to LG's Display and R&D facilities in Korea in order to discuss a possible future Nexus smartphone.

Of course, such rumors should be taken with a grain of salt since Google is obviously still looking for a partner for its next Nexus smartphone.
