Just a few days since Valve has announced that it will be showing off its SteamVR headset during Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2015 which will kick off next week and we have some of the first rumors regarding it and a possible glimpse of the headset.

A new report from VRFocus, citing a reliable source close to the project, suggest that SteamVR headset will actually be made by a third-party company. According to the report, Valve has managed to secure a "prominent hardware manufacturer" to make the headset and while there is no information which manufacture that is, we are quite sure that a lot of rumors will show up eventually.

Guys at SteamDB also spotted a glimpse or rather a silhouette of what appears to be the SteamVR on Steam Universe sign-up page where Valve actually first mentioned SteamVR earlier and where people can sign up for a demo at GDC 2015.

As we are just a week away from Game Developers Conference 2015, which kicks off on March 4 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, we are sure that we will hear more about SteamVR. One thing is certain, Valve definitely has tough competition in this market and with Oculus VR, Sony, Samsung, and possibly Nvidia, barking at the virtual reality tree, it will surely be interesting to see what Valve has to offer.
