Thermaltake unveils the new Core X lineup at CES 2015

Compact and stackable

The Consumer Electronic Show 2015 is being held in Las Vegas as we speak, and it's the perfect event for manufacturers to unveil the new products they are working on. This time is Thermaltake's turn: the taiwanese company showed the new Core X series of PC cases.
The new Core X series features three different models at the moment, with a specific guideline: they offer the best user configuration possible, allowing the user to switch the position of the I/O panel, swap side panels and so on. Each case is stackable, so if you're running out of internal space you can just add it!

The smallest model is the X1, which measures 42.67 x 27.94 x 47 cm and it can fit mini ITX motherboards featuring all the customization of its big brothers. We find magnetic dust filters on each intake, and as far as drive space, you can fit two 5.25" devices, three 3.5" drives and a single 2.5" drive. On the front we find the typical I/O panel with two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports. Even though it's a little case, it has an enormous cooling potential, since you can fit a 360mm radiator on the top and a 280mm one on the front.

The X2 is clearly bigger than the X1, fitting mATX motherboards and measuring 46.48 x 32 x 54 cm. As far as cooling is concerned, we have many options here: you can fit two 360mm radiator on top, a single 360mm radiator in the front or on the sides, a 240mm radiator on the bottom and a 140mm in the back. Drives space is bigger too, you can fit three 5.25" devices, four 3.5" drives and three 2.5" drives.

Last, but definitely not least, the X9: it supports E-ATX motherboards and it measures 50 x 40 x 64 cm. As far as drives are concerned, you can fit three 5.25" devices, six 3.5" drives and two 2.5" drives, but this gets really messy when it comes to cooling. In fact, you can fit two 480mm radiators on the top, a 480mm radiator on each side and on the bottom, a 360mm radiator in the front and a 140mm radiator in the back.

As mentioned earlier, all these PC cases are stackable, to create an enormous system with a complete water cooling system.

Sadly we don't have any informations about the release date nor the prices for these new PC cases from Thermaltake.
