Patriot announces new Viper 4 DDR4 memory kits

Aimed to be used with Intel X99 Haswell-E

Patriot has unveiled its latest addition to the Viper memory lineup, the Viper 4 DRAM DDR4 series aimed to be used with Intel's X99 Express chipset and Haswell-E CPUs.

Designed solely for high-end users such as gamers and overclockers, Patriot's Viper 4 DDR4 memory will be available in 16GB and 32GB quad-channel kits with frequencies ranging from 2400 to 3000MHz. Patriot already had its Viper Xtreme Edition low latency quad-channel kits available, but the new Viper 4 memory should give high-end a bit more choice.

While we still do not have precise latencies for each of the upcoming kits, Patriot did note that these quad-channel kits will range from 1.2 to 1.35V so we expect some rather tight latencies. The rest of the features include compatibility with XMP 2.0 profiles as well as a lifetime warranty.

According to Patriot, these Viper 4 quad-channel kits should be available sometime in the first quarter of 2015 at major retailers with a price ranging from US $250 to US $700.
