Last week was definitely marked by a raid orginized by the Swedish police which took down The Pirate Bay but, thanks to IsoHunt, The Pirate Bay is back on Oldpiratebay.org, with the same old logo in different color.
While many mourned the shutdown of The Pirate Bay, founding father, Peter Sunde
was pretty much the only guy that said its time has come and that the site was meant to shutdown on its 10th anniversary, saying that:" "It feels good that it might have closed down forever, just a real shame the way it did that.”
It appears that IsoHunt definitely does not agree with Sunde, and has copied the entire TPB database which is now available online as
Oldpiratebay.org. IsoHunt noted that the TPB search was revived in honor of The Pirate Bay and that TPB was, and still is, "a symbol of freedom for a whole generation Internet" and it was quite important that the site is "made available to future generations of Internet users."
In any case, it is good to have The Pirate Bay back, even if it comes with a different color of the logo.
