Cooltek has announced its newest mini-ITX PC case, the UMX1 Plus which will be available in two versions, with and without a side panel window, as well as in two different color options, black and silver.
Both versions of the new Cooltek UMX1 Plus case feature brushed aluminum 2mm thick panels with SGCC steel 0.8 to 1mm thick frame while the windowed version, also known as the UMX1 Plus-Window, will feature a tinted acrylic piece as its side panel. The entire UMX1 Plus case measures 160x300x345mm and it weighs around 3.2kg.
Cooltek did not change much from a standard tower-type component arrangement, other than a position of the PSU, which is located at the top front of the case, usually reserved for optical drives or HDD cage.
As expected, the Cooltek UMX1 Plus supports mini-ITX motherboards but can also take a full size (up to 270mm long) dual-slot graphics card, which makes it perfect for those mini-ITX gaming LAN rigs. It also has room for one 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs, can support up to 130mm tall CPU cooler and up to 160mm long ATX PSU, while the cooling of those components is handled by a top mounted 120mm exhaust fan, 80mm rear exhaust fan and some intake vents at the bottom of the case.
