The Minecraft Pocket Edition is now also available on Microsoft Windows Phone platform and can be yours for US $6.99.


While it does not come as a big surprise since Microsoft bought Mojang and Minecraft earlier this year for US $2.5 billion, Microsoft has now announced that the Minecraft Pocket Edition is available for Windows Phone platform. The Minecraft Pocket Edition on Windows Phone will offer Creative, Survival and WiFi-based multiplayer modes and will be running on Windows Phone 8.1 version.

Microsoft has decided to keep the same price for Minecraft Pocket Edition, as on other platforms, including Android and iOS. The full Minecraft game on the other hand runs on pretty much any platform out there.

After the acquisition earlier this year, Microsoft has promised that it will keep the development of Minecraft going and will not change the game in any manner.
