CD Projekt RED has issued an open letter announcing that its The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game will be delayed from its original February release date to May 19th 2015. Being one of the most anticipated RPG games so far, this news from CD Projekt RED is definitely a big disappointment.
According to an open letter which the developer sent out, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was always an ambitious game, ever since the start of the development process, and in order to give gamers "an incredible experience, an epic adventure in a vast, completely open fantasy universe," the game had to be delayed in order to iron out any bugs to a level that will allow gamers to enjoy the game throughly.
CD Projekt RED also added that "even though the team is working at full speed, current workloads pushed the launch for another 12 weeks, delaying it to May 19th, 2015.
“We owe you an apology. We set the release date too hastily. It’s a hard lesson, one to take to heart for the future. We know what we want to do to make Wild Hunt one of the best RPGs you will ever play. And we continue to work hard to achieve just that. So, we apologize and ask for your trust.”
This is the second delay for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as the game was originally scheduled for late 2014, pushed to February 2015 and not to May 19th, 2015.
