Nvidia could launch GTX 960 next month

Based on GM206 Maxwell GPU

While Nvidia's Maxwell GPU based graphics cards are selling quite well, according to the latest rumors, we might see a mid-range GTX 960 graphics card as early as next month.

According to a fresh report from Wccftech.com, Nvidia might launch the new GTX 960 during CES 2015, scheduled to kick off on January 6th in Las Vegas. Wccftech.com also suggested that the Geforce GTX 960 will be based on a Maxwell GM206 GPU, pack 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface and work at around 944MHz for the GPU and 6.0GHz for memory.

Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the actual CUDA count or any other precise details regarding the GM206 GPU so we will have to wait a bit longer for those.

Nvidia is expected to launch the new GTX 960 in US $199 to $249 price range which should make it a rather interesting mid-range graphics card, at least if the performance is where it is expected to be.
