LG has now officially announced the availability of its LG 31MU97, a Full 4K 4096x2160 resolution 31-inch monitor that will be available for US $1399.99.
While the price might be a bit steep, bear in mind that this one is based on the IPS panel that can show 10-bit color and cover 99.5 and 97 percent of Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color range, respectively.
While most advertised 4K monitors actually have 3840x2160 resolution, LG's 31MU97 Full 4K pumps out 4096x2160 resolution, which is, if you count, 6.7 percent more pixels as well as 17:9 aspect ratio, and should appeal to those working on 4K cinema videos.
The rest of the specifications and features include 1M:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angle, advanced anti-glare coating, two HDMI, one DisplayPort and one mini DisplayPort inputs, four USB 3.0 and headphone-out outputs as well as a pivot stand, Screen Split and bunch of other features.
According to LG, the 31MU97 will be available starting this week in markets including the United States, South Korea, Germany, Australia and the UK followed by the Netherlands, Spain, Poland and Japan in November.
