Microsoft launches Project Spark

On Windows 8.1 and Xbox One

Project Spark is a project by Microsoft which will allow everyone to create a video game, all without ever touching a line of code. After a long beta, the Spark is now open for all.

Microsoft's Project Spark has been first introduced back at E3 2013 and went into closed beta in December (with one month late) and finally arrives today for free on Windows 8.1 and Xbox One.

Its purpose is to allow everyone to be able to create a complete game, all types combined, and without ever having to type a single line of code. All done graphically and having modes that will make it usable, in a manner understandable by anyone, where everything will be configurable and modifiable in a way to allow most enthusiast to actually create what they want.

Basically, a Little Big Planet at larger scale. All free, finally, for the base version, you will need a few hours to unlock various tools and elements of the game. The most eager will be able to afford the tokens that will allow them to quickly unlock things. Microsoft even offers a starter pack at US $39.99. Those that are looking to try it out can find it over at the Windows Store or on the Xbox One.
